We would very much like to give our sincere thanks to the Festival organiser Mrs. Sandra Wilson for inviting us to have the honour to captain the British Team at the Junior Blackpool Dance Festival.
It was a great pleasure for us to prepare all the couples at a training and celebration day in Wales in advance of the event. Full team match simulations for both the Junior and Juvenile teams including the parade and the friendship through the dance Viennese Waltz took place, with planning and run-throughs for all scenarios.
Tuesday evening of Blackpool and the Team Match begins for the Juniors..
The British Team are led out by gorgeous mascot Scarlett Lunn. Thank you once again to the sponsors who powered the beautiful look of this years team. Preparation went according to plan and the team performed on the highest level with the British Juniors scoring β10βs in 5 of the dances which made the atmosphere in the Wintergardens absolutely electric.
Congratulations to all the fabulous teams that made this International Match of Nations another to remember and very well done to the Ukrainian winning team.
Thank you to all the dancers parents and teachers who joined together to support the team. It was very special to witness other couples from GB π¬π§ cheering on the team and a special note of thanks to the British Juvenile Team who stayed late to support the Juniors.. this is what the team match and being part of a team is really about.
We would like to personally thank and congratulate all the team members from GB π¬π§π¬π§π¬π§ your performance was as amazing as your scores, you represented Great Britain with honour, respect and pride. You join the roll of honour of those that have represented before you and many have gone on to wonderful careers becoming British Open and World Champions.
