Bournemouth hosted the 30th Anniversary of the United Kingdom Closed Championships organised by the DPA at the Bournemouth International Centre. Nice n Easy Dance Studios took part en masse at the event with many club members and couples who take lessons based around the UK creating huge numbers of the NNE team this year.

Congratulations to the new Chairman of the DPA Mark Lunn and the whole organising committee of the Dance Promoters Association for the great efforts to promote this absolute highlight on the calendar for all UK dancers. Blessed to have the Bournemouth Summer Festival host the very best dancers from around the UK and visitors coming to dance in the Masters events from all around the world! Thank you for inviting Mr. Warren Boyce to adjudicate the full day of ProAm Champions events on Wednesday. Lynette Boyce adjudicated the Friday daytime events.
Pure emotion was felt on Saturday with the inaugural speech of the new Chairman of the DPA and then the retirement from Ballroom events of a wonderful couple from Bournemouth, Alexandra Hixson & Andrey Sirbu who had trained for many years at Nice n Easy since 2004 when Alexandra was then partnered by Estonian Mairold Millert.
